On the occasion of the International Day for the Rights of Children and Adolescents, on 16 November we inaugurated the first House of Smile in Italy in Bari, in the San Paolo district, bringing to our country the experience gained by CESVI in the rest of the world in the protection of the fundamental rights of minors.

The story of Brandon and Tendai: in Zimbabwe we fight against hunger and for a better education

In a country increasingly afflicted by the climate crisis and a dramatic famine, many people find themselves living on the street. Even young people and children find themselves having to face the difficulties of not having a home. The story of Brandon and Tendai, welcomed in Harare’s House of Smiles, has a happy ending. Thanks to our operators, the life of these two street children has returned to being dignified and serene.

Rising violence, poverty and cholera epidemic: Haiti in the grip of a “humanitarian catastrophe”

In Haiti, following the catastrophic earthquake of August 2021 and due to the now endemic poverty, problems of crime on the streets and lack of access to basic services that generate poverty and hunger alternate.
The situation is even more catastrophic in the suburb of Citè Soleil, where the slum of Wharf Jérémie is located and where hunger is at dramatic levels, in a country at the “breaking point”.

Charity night 2022: a great result for solidarity
