Ilaria Dallatana to the presidency of CESVI

Ilaria Dallatana to the presidency of CESVI. After Gloria Zavatta, another woman will lead CESVI. The aim of the new mandate is to strengthen the organisation’s impact, authority and capacity for innovation in responding to major global humanitarian challenges.

Bergamo – Passing of the baton at CESVI: the Italian humanitarian organisation, active in 28 countries worldwide, announces with enthusiasm the appointment of Ilaria Dallatana as the Foundation’s new President.

A television manager and leading entrepreneur in the media and communications sector, Dallatana brings to CESVI a 30-year background of managerial experience, strategic skills and a personal vocation to social and humanitarian issues.

Born in Parma on 10 June 1966, a graduate in Modern Literature from the Catholic University of Milan, Dallatana began her career in the marketing department of Mediaset, before moving to Madrid and contributing to the reorganisation of Telecinco. Back in Italy, she took on the role of production manager for the Mediaset network (Italia Uno and later Canale 5).

In 2001, she co-founded Magnolia, the production company that launched successful formats still aired on the main national networks. In 2016 she became director of Rai 2. In 2020 she founded Blu Yazmine, a production company recently acquired by Eagle Pictures.

In addition to her entrepreneurial path, Ilaria Dallatana has always kept a keen eye on the world of culture and the Third Sector: she has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Fondazione Teatro Regio di Parma (2017-2022) and since 2022 she has been a member of the Assembly of ad honorem members of CESVI.

‘I am honoured to assume the presidency of CESVI,’ said Dallatana. “In an era marked by ever-expanding conflicts, unprecedented climate crises and growing inequalities, the role of humanitarian organisations is more crucial than ever. Yet, at this very moment, the field of NGOs is going through a phase of profound transformation and hardship: shrinking funds, increasing operational restrictions and growing mistrust towards international cooperation make it even more pressing to strengthen credibility, impact and transparency. I am committed to leading CESVI with passion and responsibility, valuing its history and its ability to innovate to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable. I believe in the strength of solidarity and in the ability of the Third Sector to contribute in a concrete way to building a fairer and more sustainable future for all. For my part,’ Dallatana continues, ‘after many years spent trying to capture the public’s attention with lighter topics, I have matured the conviction that people’s sensitivity can be greater than what we normally take for granted. I trust that there is a real possibility that most people will welcome a message of solidarity and commitment to those in need’.

The Assembly of Founders of CESVI has elected Ilaria Dallatana as new President, certain that her leadership will represent an added value to strengthen the impact of the Foundation’s activities, both nationally and internationally.

Ilaria Dallatana takes over from Gloria Zavatta, President from 2018 to 2025, whom the whole of CESVI would like to thank for her commitment, dedication and vision with which she has led the organisation through complex and crucial years.
