In 2011 activities were concentrated in the Sindh region which was devastated by floods. Activities included the distribution of winter kits, tents and shelters, construction of wells, latrine rehabilitation and the start-up of livestock breeding. Support for the population afflicted by the 2010 flooding in Punjab continued with the re-establishment of breeding and agricultural activities, the distribution of non food items and hygiene kits, the construction of latrines and hand pumps. In the Shangla district post-emergency activities include the repairing of roads, re-activation of water networks, the reconstruction of hydroelectric stations and water mills. Cesvi is also at work in the Muzaffargarh district to supply drinkable water to families, adequate hygienic conditions, safe long-lasting shelters. The first months of 2011 saw the completion of activities in the environment sector concerning the integrated management of natural and cultural resources and the preservation of the bio-diversity of the Central Karakorum National Park.
