Libya: charity event for Syrian refugees

Libya – On Saturday 2nd of July, Cesvi cooperated in organizing an event with two local organizations on the coast, in Tajura, 14 kilometres east of Tripoli.

It was a spontaneous charity event called “Maedat Alrahman”, including some recreational and entertaining activities.

The initiative was mainly dedicated to some of the most vulnerable Syrian refugees we support in the area of Tripoli, especially  those who have children.

The coordination was done by the Cesvi staff members who participated in the event, together with Cesvi’s coordinator in Tripoli.

Cesvi supported the event also through its database by collecting the most vulnerable Syrian cases according to the chosen location. Since these data are extremely confidential, we were also in charge of contacting beneficiaries directly.

The event was held in “Alnajaa Summer resort”, and about 26 families and 130 people joined it.

Children had their faces drawn nicely, enjoyed swimming and playing on the shore. There were swings and other entertaining games as well.
