Cesvi in Libya: cash assistance to the most vulnerable

Inflation and lack of stable job opportunities, coupled by health problems and severe shortage of medicines, continue to represent the main challenges that people are facing in their daily life in Libya.

To make things worse, the Country has been suffering for a long time from a general lack of liquidity with strict limitation in withdrawing cash, with a ceiling of 300 Libyan Dinars per day in Tripoli and a notable 200 Libyan Dinars in Benghazi.

In a context of prolonged liquidity shortages, Cesvi is committed to supporting the most compelling cases among the beneficiaries monitored, by granting cash assistance to those most exposed to threats, such as risk of eviction from their homes and inability to meet their basic human life needs, as well as their rights to a safe shelter, health and education.
