The artistic event Storie ad acquerello will return to Bergamo on 23, 24, and 25 September, and will bring the city back to a veiled and magical atmosphere, thanks to international artists and a prestigious historical and cultural context.

CESVI Foundation will be a charity partner of the initiative and will be present during the event to raise awareness among the public on issues related to child protection and collect donations to support the Case del Sorriso, places of protection for minors in vulnerable conditions including orphans, street children, neglected minors, women victims of violence and exploitation. The Case del Sorriso can be found in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Haiti, Brazil, Peru, India, and soon also in Italy.

And where a “Casa del Sorriso” does not yet exist, CESVI implements targeted initiatives and activities to respond to immediate needs and start building tomorrow, through the Case del Sorriso Program.

The event, conceived, curated, and designed by Laura Cortinovis and organized in collaboration with SpazioCam – Cultural Association of Bergamo dedicated to art and courses of various kinds – and Momarte, the online store dedicated to the world of art – is dedicated to all those who wish to immerse themselves in this precious art: enthusiasts, amateurs, and experts, adults and children, connoisseurs or users, artists or simply curious.

On this occasion, CESVI will also present a stand with its own solidarity gifts, some of which are illustrated by the founder of the Festival, Laura Cortinovis.

Storie ad acquerello is the first festival in Italy dedicated to watercolor.

The program sees among the confirmed guests some of the most prominent names in the world of illustration, watercolor, calligraphy, and lettering. Artists and creatives from different fields, winners of illustrious prizes, such as the Emanuele Luzzati prize, the Lucca Comics contest, and the Andersen prize, the most prestigious Italian award given to the best children’s books, ready to show their skills and their work thanks to a full program of meetings, exhibitions, workshops, and demonstrations.

Some of the most evocative locations in Bergamo were involved to host the rich program of Storie ad acquerello, such as the Porticoes of Palazzo della Ragione, the Circolino Città Alta, the Palazzo, and the Moroni Gardens, the Teatro Sant’Andrea and the Seminarino as well as the headquarters of the SpazioCam, an information space known in the city to photography enthusiasts and the setting up of one of the planned exhibitions.
