Cesvi has worked in Somalia and Kenya in partnership with other Italian NGOs through UNA Consortium until December 2008. UNA Consortium, founded in 1995, brought together four non-governmental organizations, which are still a great wealth of experience in international cooperation, i.e. Cesvi, Africa'70, GRT and Cast.

Since January 2009, Cesvi works in Somalia, Sudan and Kenya, independently through its own regional coordination office located in Nairobi.

The Regional Representative, supported by the Regional Security Advisor and Head of Logistic and the Regional Administrator together with a group of experts in the humanitarian sector can grant a punctual follow up of the activities add to a strategic vision of the opportunities of development in the area.

The running projects in the region are currently focused on three main sectors, Child Protection, WASH (Waste Management) and Health/Nutrition both in Development and Emergency Context.
