At the end of July in Pakistan monsoon rains reached levels fifteen times heavier than average level of monsoon season. Rivers overflowed and waters dragged away everything.
Floods caused 1.600 death, 20 million of evacuated (3.500.000 children), 1.200 houses and 10.000 schools destroyed, 16 million of land flooded.
Giacomo Agosti, Cesvi Emergency Action Coordinator’s report:
“At the moment the flooding rains in North Punjab are over and the floodwater is beginning to subside. But families evacuated needs everything. We mainly should aim to protect children from epidemics and help them to reach potable water.”
Thanks to Fondazione Zegna we will take care of 100 families of Nowshera District, one of the most affected District. We can do much more, every little help can make a difference.
One Pakistani Family needs:
> 10 Euros to ensure food and water for 2 weeks;
> 25 Euros to get a Hygienic Kit and water sanitation.
