Cesvi operations in the field to accomplish food security.
Food for work, Cash for work and Voucher for work approaches, are often used in order to increase individual purchasing power, revitalized the local markets and support infrastructural rehabilitations. Seed fairs and livestock fairs are usually linked with Voucher for work programs in order to boost local economic recovery. Actions aimed at strengthening food security of target group can be very broad-based. In these type of interventions, often promoted after an emergency situation, it is better to combine support actions (transfer of goods and resources) with infrastructural activities (rehabilitation of existing damaged structures) that involve target group in the implementation and management of infrastructures (roads and paths, markets, warehouse, mini dams and wells, fish ponds) in the medium-long term.
