Cesvi is giving its support to small and micro businesses and cooperatives through training and microcredit activities. The office in the Mercosur headquarters is the coordination centre to create contacts and synergies between cooperation organizations in Uruguay and Italy by promoting alliances, supporting training projects and networking in general. 2011 saw the continuance of the commitment to create the Institute of Research and Training for small and micro businesses in Montevideo. Contacts with both public and private institutions, as well as with other organizations able to guarantee the sustainability of results, were reinforced. Training courses were undertaken for entrepreneurs and technical meetings were organized and market research was carried out for those companies which had received microcredit.
