Since 1987 Cesvi has been working in Uruguay to improve living conditions of most marginalised social classes through development projects, both urban and rural. In this context Cesvi established a good working and trust relationship with Federación Uruguaya de Cooperativas de Ahorro y Crédito (FUCAC) and with various sector-based institutions of micro and small enterprise. In fact this sector constitutes a very important component of the Uruguayan economy in terms of employability but still fails to integrate fully in the market.
