Objectives:
Intervention on environmental management of Marracuene District aimed at protecting the ecosystem and improving population living condition. Implement a Landscape classification for: ecosystem protection, natural disaster prevention, and defence of marine species in danger of extinction. Improve of living condition of local population through promotion of environmental friendly income generating activities.
Summary of activities:
The project aims at the creation of a GIS (Geographic Information System) with participatory approach, to support a management plan of resources for local authorities. It wants to promote active coordination between population, tourist operators, public and private institutions, using and/or protecting natural resources, and to protect in particular marine turtles and vegetation to fight soil erosion.
