Cesvi operates in the Province of Herat with a hydro geologic risk prevention and mitigation project which includes a component responding to natural emergencies. During 2011 work on prevention and water regulation have taken place using consolidated techniques suitable for the local context. In the Injil district, Cesvi is working to help the most vulnerable categories especially women. The objective is to reinforce their professional skills through advanced professional training courses and to support the creation of social co-operatives. Cesvi also helps to consolidate the capabilities of local partners with seminars aimed at the promotion of cooperation within the socio-economic Afghan context.
